November Leaves

This past Sunday, it was a gorgeous 55 degrees. (Gorgeous temps are relative this time of year.) Clare spent some QT with daddy playing and helping rake leaves. She's a great helper, and it's nice to have free manual labor....until she learns the word "allowance". It was a great time had by Clare and daddy--lots of laughs, smiles, and giggles.

Being goofy and unable to take a nice, smiling picture. She even has daddy's sunglasses on her head.
Ready......Set......

Go!!!!!!!!

Goofy, silly face.

Ah, finally, a genuine smile....only after daddy told her a knock-knock joke.

I told my friend that I loved her baby's toothless grin....now she tries to do one, too.
Getting swallowed into the belly of the leaf pile.
Helpin' out!

A Balmy November Day (11.01.08)

It was a perfect 75 degrees and a great day to spend the morning at the park/playground.

The colors are finally getting vibrant here in St Louis!
Trying to soar up to the moon!

A Fall festival was happening at the park, so Clare got an apple painted on her hand.

Gorgeous trees on the street!

The Four Halloweens

Halloween 05 (8 months)
Halloween 06 (1.5 years)

Halloween 07 (2.5 years)

Halloween 08 (3.5 years)

Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet, Clare Got Lots of Loot to Eat!

Toby took Clare out this year, and they did 4 streets in 90 minutes. They had an excellent time!

Trick or Treating at Chad and Faridas......our neighbor's and good friend's house.

Clare the Dragon. We found her breath of fire convenient when lighting the jack-o-lantern.

"ROAR!!!!"

Patting her pumpkin....she was very proud.

Wee Goblins Party

My friend, Jen, has an Irish mother who loves Halloween. Each year she throws a Wee Goblins Party at her house for all of her grandkids and their friends (Clare is friends with Jen's son Seigo). We had a great time, and it was a nice way to kick-off Trick or Treating!

Pumpkin painting....Clare is an old pro at this!
Costume showing off. Do a trick and get a treat. Clare told everyone a knock-knock joke. (Jen is my friend there dressed in black.)

Clare and her friend Theo. Theo is much younger, but Clare adores him in a big sister way.

Sarah Ann, Olivia, and Clare all conspiring about something.

A nice break from partying to have a hug!

Pinata time!!! Clare was great with that Louisville Slugger!

It's the Great Pumpkin Carving!

This is the first year Clare was really into making her jack-o-lantern. I thought she'd be turned off by the slimy, oozy strings inside, but she thought it was quite funny. The seeds will become a snack for us after they dry out and we bake them (I think she's looking more forward to eating the seeds than to carving the pumpkin).
